A roadside sign in the hamlet of Urval in the Dordogne, France to say that this village participates in a scheme similar to the UK Neighbourhood Watch. It is a scheme where residents of the neighbourhood are encouraged to report anything suspicious to the local gendarmerie. It can be especially useful in isolated rural areas, such as Urval where this image was taken, and/or areas where there are a lot of second homes and hence unoccupied building. It also hope to discourage thieves, burglars etc. who might be in the scheme started in 2006.
