In the church of the brotherhood of fathers lefreviani, at Albano Lazio near Rome, is the funeral of Erich Priebke, the German SS officer who in 1945 killed 335 Italian "fosse ardeatine " of Rome. The local population has reacted harshly to the funeral and there have been numerous clashes and protests. The funeral was then canceled. The coffin of Captain Erich Priebke was taken away with a police van after 9 hours of waiting. The fathers lefreviani are considered close to the ideas of Nazism.
