The good man, the good citizenis not he who is best informed, but he who is constantly in-spired with the thought that his knowledge should be usedfor the good of his fellow-men. Knowledge without virtueis a curse and not a blessing. It is the constant policy of bothTrustees and Faculty to inspire students with the love of. OHIO UNIVERSITY 17 knowledge, and with desire to practice religion and only those persons are invited to profit by themeans of instruction here placed within their reach, who arewilling to conform their conduct as far as possible to theteachings of the Bible. We expect students who have spentsome time with us to depart not only wiser but also better thanthey came. If such is not the case it will not be for want ofcare on the part of the Faculty. A. have flourish-ing organizations connected with the Ohio University, and alarge proportion of the students are members of one or theother. These hold meetings weekly or oftener. provide lec-tures on religious or Biblical topics, and take an active interestin promoting the spiritual, moral, and intellectual welfare ofthe entire student body.
