Staff Sergeant Robert Y. Lee, drill instructor, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, corrects a recruit’s technique during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Nov. 15. Drill instructors walked around during the training session to make sure each recruit was executing the technique correctly. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 3.
