The Oxley Seed Co. is being organized at Gibson City, 111. C. H. Kennedy has opened a seed store on Lemon street, Palatka, Fla. E. E. CoNANT, Bartow, Fla., has sold his seed business, to R. M. Oglesby. The Eber Seed Co., Quiney, 111., has been incorporated with $15,000 capital stock, by Suzanna Eber, Wm. H. Eber and Eugene Eber. Practically all the large catalogue and retail seed houses have been strongly represented at the florists' convention at Chicago this week. While peas are not by any means a good crop, the reports are more cheerful than was the case at the opening of the season. Threshing has begun. It is reported that J. W. Edmundson, sales manager of the Braslan Seed Grow- ers Co., has tendered his resignation to that firm and will not be with them after the completion of the present harvest. W. The German Nursery & Seed House, of Beatrice, Neb., has filed articles of incorporation. The company is capital- ized at $100,000, of which $75,000 is paid up.
