The Weeping Elephant by Jantien Mook in La Place Flagey, Brussels on a trip round the world to draw attention to the plight of the African elephants


The Weeping Elephant is a fifteen foot tall sculpture of an elephant made from hollowed out tree trunks and steel. The sculpture made by Jantien Mook will travel around the world for at least a year to draw attention to the plight of the african elephants. The sculpture literally “weeps” courtesy of built in speakers, so everyone around the globe can hear the cry of this majestic animal.
