Aortoiliac occlusive disease, CT angiogram
Coloured 2D computed tomography (CT) angiogram of the abdominal aorta and lower limbs of a 63-year-old male patient with aortoiliac occlusive disease, also known as Leriche Syndrome. The scan shows occlusion of the aorta under the kidney and all of the two iliac arteries, with resumption of arterial vascularization by the collateral vascular network (mesenteric artery). Leriche Syndrome is a type of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) that involves the blockage of the abdominal aorta as it transitions into the common iliac arteries.
