London, UK. 05th Feb, 2015. Millennium Mills, Cannning Town fire sees 8 fire engines and almost 60 firefighters tackle the blaze. The Fire brigade were alerted to the blaze at around 12:30hrs on Thursday afternoon. The fire is reported to have been contained to the fourth and fifth floor of the half a million sq ft building. Millenium Mills, Cannning Town fire sees 8 fire engines and almost 60 firefighters tackle the blaze. The Fire brigade were alerted to the blaze at around 12:30hrs on Thursday afternoon. The fire is reported to have been contained to the fourth and fifth floor of the half a million sq ft building. A fire investigation team was sent to the scene to determine the cause of the building which has been derelict for a number of years is currently a construction site, which will see the art deco building transformed in bars and restaurants on the first two floors and roof with the remaining space being given over to tech media and small business use. There were no injuries reported and the fire was brought under control
