Bichanakandi is located within a village of Rustampur Union in Goainghat Upazila of Sylhet District, Bangladesh. In recent years, the river has seen an influx of tourists. The Bichanakandi tourist area is basically a stone quarry where stones are collected from the river. A spring coming down from the Khasia mountain forms a lake here which joins the Payain river. The rocks here are completely natural and they come down through the water along with the hill slopes
