Old small electric locomotive used to pull barges in France along the canalised Moselle river, Villey-Saint-Étienne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France


These small "loco tractors" pulled barges, taking over from horse traction in the 1930s. With the advent of modern diesel propelled vessels they gradually became redundant and the rail tracks were removed. The service ended in 1973.
