The Three Shells lagoon on Southend Seafront has been drained and taped off to the public after a teenage girl was taken to hospital on Friday afternoon after becoming trapped in the rocks that surround the lagoon. 14,000 cubic tonnes of granite rock was used to mark out the new football pitch sized lagoon.
