Crop marks revealing the buried foundations of Tixall Hall, Staffordshire, 2018. The house at Tixall was demolished in 1927. The 16th century gatehouse (top left) remains and is a Grade I listed building. Mary, Queen of Scots was a prisoner at Tixall for two weeks in 1586.
