Civilian employers arrived via CH-47 Chinook helicopter from Company B, 1st Battalion, 171st Aviation Regiment, Iowa Army National Guard, at the Ray S. Miller Airfield, Camp Ripley, Minn., on July 23, 2024. Forty employers attended an eXportable Combat Training Capabilities (XCTC) exercise involving 5,000 Soldiers and eight states, including Iowa. They arrived as part of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program to see how Iowa’s Soldiers serve and reflect on the importance of employer support.
