A) showsthe famial sequences,and non-sequences, inthe Domerian andHwiccian of the areasunder account is takenof the thicknesses ofstrata; it is only afauna! record; but itbecomes a stratigra-phical illustration ofthe position of affairswhen the concludingstrata of the Domerianw^ere deposited. The datum-line is7 Domerian {spina-tuni) proved in allareas. The movement ofthe Men dip axis ofNorth Somerset isquite obvious. Itsinfluence apparentlyextended to Grlouces-•tershire. On the Dor-set Coast, though theDomerian strata areespecially thick, thereare two more non-sequences, due possiblyto movement of the^Ve^anouth last of these, thepre - spinci f um one,which presumably co-incides mth the lackof the IcBvU zone ofRaasay, is particularlyinteresting. The baseof spinafum has BlueLias pebbles, the dateof which it would beinteresting to deter-mine. If, as
