Femoston hormone replacement therapy (HRT) drug, from a blisterpack labelled with days of the week. HRT is used to treat the symptoms of the menopause by replacing female sex hormones. Climesse contains oestradiol hemihydrate, a naturally occurring form of oestrogen, and dydrogesterone, a synthetic form of progesterone. HRT can also help to prevent osteoporosis. However, side-effects include an increased risk of thrombosis and some forms of cancer.
