The old Bull River Guard Station homestead, on the East Fork of Bull River, in the Cabinet Mountains, located within the Kootenai National Forest, in northwest Montana. The gaurd satition is a log cabn built in 1908 by park ranger Granville Gordon, and was used as both a home and early ranger station for the area. The East Fork of Bull River runs through the heart of the Cabinet Mountains into Bull River, north of Noxon, in Sanders County, Montana. The Bull River is a tributary of the Clark Fork of the Columbia River. This image was shot with an antique 3¼ inch Petzval lens and will show signs of distortion and softness, especially towards the edges. This is intentional and part of the aesthetic.
