A full description of it, illustrated by charts ofthe weather for each day, was published by Mr. Eliot in the 53dvolume of the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal. It originated !I4 CLIMATES AND WEATHER OF INDIA on the 27tli June, between 20° and 21° north lat, and 89° and 90°east long., and during the next two days moved very slowly (at between2 and 5 miles an hour) on a north-west course to Balasore Bay,crossing the coast on the evening of the 29th.
