DISTRIBUTION OF AGGREGATE Notwithstanding that the alignment includes a 6per cent grade 7,000 feet long, another 6 per centgrade 8,400 feet long and a 9 per cent grade 9,000feet long with many curves in it, it was determined. rf:«tfc-----to.^~e linear foot. The reinforcement consisted of 56pounds National mesh fabric received in sheets52 inches wide and 17 feet 8 inches long thatwere laid transversely across the road with anoverlap of 4 inches. The position of the reinforce-ment in the body of the concrete was determined bylaying the latter in two courses, the first coursescreeded to an elevation 2 inches below that requiredfor the finished surface, after which the reinforce-ment was quickly laid and immediately covered withthe finishing course applied within a few minutesafter the bottom course so that both courses struc-turally formed a single monolithic course with thereinforcement imbedded in it in a substantiallysingle continuous operation. The culverts were all made of precast reinforcedconcrete pipe of from 14 inches to 48 inchesdiameter, made by the Musselman Company and laidwith their ends set in concrete face walls which werebuilt by the paver when it laid the concrete
