Tesla's planned power transmitters. Illustration of the planned appearance of the Wardenclyffe Tower power transmitters, designed by Serb-US physicist and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) on Long Island, New York, USA, from 1901. This site was intended for Tesla's wireless and wireless power transmission experiments. The arrows show the direction of the current flow. However, Tesla was unable to find sufficient investment and funds to complete the site, and the project was abandoned. The initial tower that had been built was demolished in 1917. The site was purchased in 2013, with plans to build a museum dedicated to Tesla and his achievements.
