Tailless whipscorpion (order Amblypygi). This arachnid walks sideways and locates its prey by using its 'whips'. The whip is actually a long front leg. Once located the whipscorpion grasps its prey with its pedipalps before eating it. Photographed in Yasuni National Park, Amazon rainforest, Ecuador.
