Alessandro Achillini (1463-1512), Italian philosopher and physician. Achillini was a celebrated lecturer of both medicine and philosophy at Bologna and Padua, Italy, and was thought of as the second Aristotle. He was also a distinguished anatomist, being the first to describe the malleus and incus bones of the middle ear.
