The Democrats & Veterans Party have launched a new political party in the UK.

The party led by former UKIP leadership candidate/former army reservist John Rees-Evans aims to represent the rights of British Armed Forces Veterans, whilst challenging "morally deficient" and “self-serving careerist” MPs. The location of the event was changed hours before the event, following concerns from the original venue, the Union Jack Club, that the party's "individual conflict with the charity's purposes" and runs the risk of"public disorder" and alienating "beneficieries and supporters" of the club.

The event was attended by a range of influential men and women including former UKIP MP Steven Woolfe.
