Special appliancesare provided for washing and removing dust fromthe cars, the latest device for the latter being the vacuum cleaner, an apparatus for removing dustby suction through a hose. This machine is usuallylodged in a van which travels from place to cleaning exteriors, a special washing-machineis employed by some companies, whereby brushesare thrown into contact with the carriages as theypass through a special structure, whilst sprayingpipes turn on to them a strong stream of carriage superintendents
