Aristaeus catches Proteus, Bernard Picart (workshop of), 1733 print The Sater Aristaeus who was beekeeper strikes Proteus in his cave. He binds him and forces him to explain why his bees died. In the margin the title in French, English, German and Dutch. The performance is decorated with an ornamental edge.
