It was no smalltask to provide even the simplest, plainest gar-ments for so many little folk, all at one did it involve any trifling expense; althoughthe clothing which I provided for them was ofthe plainest, and simplest description, thoughnecessarily of a good quality; and, of course, ina climate hke that of India, a large number ofchanges was really necessary for each child.
