The National Academy of Athens (Greece)


The National Academy Building in Athens. The building, which was built from 1859-1885, is located on the south of The University of Athens' main building (Panepistimiou street). In front of the facade stand two high ionic columns, which bear the colossal statues of Athena and Apollo. There are also statues of Socrates and Plato which are illustrated in seating position on each side.
