THE NEW FEED Springfield Gas Machine Is the result of the experience and observation of a quarter of a century. It is made of the bestmaterial and workmanship, and should last a lifetime. Having been in operation for threeyears including one winter of exceptional severity, and several hundred of them being now inuse in all parts of the country, we offer it with the greatest confidence. Instead of making a gasof 8o-candle power and then diluting it to the more practicable 2o-candle power, this machinemakes the gas of the latter desirable quality once for all in the gas generator itself, and so avoidsthe need of dilution inside the house by the more or less complicated mechanical devicescommon to all other machines. This eras may be burned through plain lava-tipped burners, consuming four cubic feet ofaas per hour with perfect combustion, absolutely free from smoke or odor. It is used throughall the usual coal gas fixtures, including candelabra and Welsbach incandescent burn
