A long row of Georgian cottages in the village of Buckler's Hard on the Beaulieu Estate and beside the Beaulieu River, in the New Forest National Park of Hampshire in Britain. During the reign of King George 111, Buckler's Hard was one of the navy’s main shipbuilding yards. Twenty-six navy warships were built, including three, Swiftsure, Euryalus and Agamemnon that took part in the Battle of Trafalgar 1805. Lord Nelson served for a while on Agamemnon and lost his right eye during the siege of Calvi in Corsica, a French-ruled island in the Mediterranean Sea. Another ship built in the same yard was the Scorpion which took part in the famous expedition carrying troops to Quebec in Canada under General James Wolfe.
