A rare Bohemian combination flintlock axe-pistol, 1st half of the 18th century Iron axe head with a downward curving blade. Hammerhead on the back with four brass spikes. Walnut helve with fine decorative bone and mother-of-pearl inlays (minimal damage and replacements) lavishly engraved with depictions of wildlife and leaping hounds amid vine and point ornamentation. The pommel displays a Turk and a lady with a bare bosom. A two-stage barrel with octagonal breech section then transitioning to round with a smooth bore in 14 mm calibre mounted on one side, with ,
