This is a beautiful evergreen, low-growing shrub, a native of the South and at the North only half-hardy. It should have been included in our half-hardy or pot-shrub depart- ment but was crowded out, so we give it a place here on ac- count of its great desirability. It will prove perfectly hardy in the open ground of the states from North Carolina southward, except in the high mountain regions. Its beautiful-white flowers are disposed in slender racemes from three to six inches long, and its evergreen, oblong leaves are from two to four inches long. It is exceedingly rare and we do not think is offered by any other firm in this country. 20c. each. piicl^sia Qpacilis. A hardy Fuchsia is a rarity indeed, but we have It in this beautiful species which winters safely in the open ground in the vicinity of New York, with only a light covering of dead Dahlia tops or some litter of a like nature. It is an ele- gant plant for summer blooming, and can be planted right in the sun In hot, dry soil, where it will bloom profusely the entire summer; it also does well as a pot-plant. Nice pot- grown plants, 20c.
