This 1884 illustration shows the heroic statue of the Roman Emperor Pupienus that is housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris. Marcus Clodius Pupienus Maximus (c. 168–238) was Roman emperor with Balbinus for three months in 238, during the Year of the Six Emperors.
