The Thimble Shoal circular Iron Lighthouse built at Hampton Roads to replace Willoughby Spit lightship and two screwpile lighthouses in Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, USA. This photograph was taken shortly after it was rebuilt c1914 . Its alternate name in earlier times was the Bug Light, coined by soldiers at Fort Monroe.
