They bear, however, theportrait of Prince Johann II, and in the upper rightcorner the arms of the principality. Hitherto thiscountry used Austrian stamps, which will not neces-sarily be superseded by the local issue. Either setcan be used. Another little country, Monaco, gives us a newissue of stamps. By the way, this name is pro-nounced Mon-a-co, and not Mo-na-co, as one some-times hears it. Here the currency is centimes, show-. ing the French influence.
