The curved and tapering front legs are obtained from i yi stock and are secured by two dowels each to the underside of the seat, having an outside width of 15^ in. Thestretchers are ^ in. square. The seat is of a solid or jointed board dressed to a thickness of13^ in. and hollowed out in the deepest part to ^ in., formingthe saddle effect indicated.
