ANEURYSM TREATMENT
Illustration of the first stage of treatment for a large aneurysm. Two catheters are inserted into the artery, one to the aneurysm to insert the coils that will enable blood clotting in the aneurysm. The other will go beyond the aneurysm to allow a balloon to be inflated in order to close the entrance to the aneurysm and avoid clotting in the artery.
