The bill reestablishing their eligibility, championed in the House of Representatives by Rep., and former Air Force fighter pilot, Martha McSally, R-Ariz. 2nd District, passed Congress unanimously and was signed into law by President Barack Obama this year. Jensen organized an effort for the flag, which flew over the Capitol the day the bill was passed and was presented to the family at the funeral by an Air Force Honor Guard, to be flown in aircraft piloted by female USAF pilots who kept a logbook of personal messages honoring Harmon and the WASPs.
