Manufacturing Curtiss OX-5 training aeroplane motors for the United States Government at the Elaira New York plant of the Willys Overland Company. The image shows a belt test being conducted on the motors, where each motor is driven by a belt for two hours at a speed of 300 rpm. During the test, hot water is circulated through the motor to check for any water leaks, and the oil pressure and valve clearance are adjusted. Each motor is under constant observation by an inspector.
