John Hoffner, both mortarmen with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, prepare an M252 81 mm mortar position during a field exercise at Range 800 on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 20, 2022.
