Prittlewell, Southend on Sea, Essex, UK. 21st Nov, 2021. Preparations are underway for the funeral of murdered Southend West MP Sir David Amess in the town that he represented. A service will be held on Monday 22nd November in St. Mary’s Church in Prittlewell, a district in the Southend Borough which is historically the original settlement which grew into the sprawling town which is to be named a city in honour of the MP. Following the memorial service his casket will be carried on a horse-drawn hearse through Southend’s streets for people to pay their respects
