Cup, ca. 1905, Made in Queens, New York, New York, United States, American, Silver, glass, Overall: 7 7/8 x 6 3/4 in. (20 x cm); 39 oz. 19 dwt. ( g), Silver, Tiffany Studios (1902–32), Louis Tiffany rarely worked in silver, the medium for which his father's firm is famous. The three-handled cup, or tyg, is a rare example marked by Tiffany Studios and presumably designed by Louis. The form evokes medieval metalwork but has been transformed by the addition of handles in the shape of animal bones
