He was of English descent, and to him, more thanany one, is the English Range, in Derry, where he set-tled, indebted for its name. He was the first town clerk. The well-known Major Rogers, of the French and Indianwars. He was born in Londonderry, and his death oc-curred in England. A grandson bearing the same nameof the Ranger resides in Derry.
