Its importance to the development of the port canhardly be over-estimated. The tract belonging to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroadcomprises the site of the old Pier No. 80—which was de-stroyed by fire about a year ago and has not yet been rebuilt—and two or three smaller structures adjacent, the Ilength of river frontage being about 900 feet.
