In the summer of 1929, the hotel burned down the Plasmolen and was quickly rebuilt, according to the design of Nijmegen Charles Estourgie. The images of Lodewijk and Hendrik van Nassau adorn the facade. In the Second World War the hotel burned again and the fire in 2001 meant the definitive end of the hotel.
