Located in the arid Peruvian coastal plain, the lines or "geoglyphes" were scratched on the surface of the ground 500 and 500; they are among archaeology's greatest enigmas. They depict living creatures, stylised plants and imaginary beings. On this photograph: the monkey (Ica - Peru). Situés dans l'aride plaine côtière Péruvienne, les "géoglyphes" furent inscrits à la surface du sol entre 500 années avant la naissance du Christ et les 500 autres après; ils sont parmi les plus grandes énigmes archéologiques.
