This road, affectionately dubbed Jack Rabbit Trail bythe people of Riverside, is formally known as San GorgonioDrive, a wonderfully scenic way down from the plateau tothe west of Banning, which discloses the sweep of the moun-tains to the north and west and looks out over a valleydotted with orange groves in the distance, upthrust pointedhills in the foreground and the dim of the bluffs that flankthe ocean far behind.
