Established Classical Gym-nasium, Bible House, New York City, and managed it till theology at Union Seminary, N. Y. Licensed to preachby Tolland Co., Conn. Association, in 1855. Ordained by Con-gregational Ecclesiastical Council, at Coventry, Conn., in June,1856. Pastor of Congregational church in Goshen, Conn., fromDec, 1858, to May, 1860. In July, 1860, declined the principal-ship of the Buffalo, N. Y., Female Seminary
