HMS Dielette under way in British coastal waters. Chantier Worms built her at Le Trait on the River Seine in Normandy. Laid down in February 1939 as a Chasseur 5-class submarine chaser and launched in April 1940 as Chasseur 14 for the French Navy. Took part in the evacuation of Le Havre in June 1940. Seized by the Royal Navy in July 1940 and renamed HMS Dielette. Collided with Chasseur 11 on 9 August 1942 and took part in the Dieppe raid on 19 August 1942. Transferred to the Free French Navy in December 1942. Collided with Chasseur 10 on 4 January 1943. Took part in operations against pockets
