Steve and Barbara Miller are the owners of Miller Farm, one of the farms that has been protected by a conservation easement by The Maine Farmland Trust. The Millers provide a wide variety of organic berries and honeys for farmers markets in northern Maine and their famous organic berry-infused honeys are distributed worldwide. The Maine Farmland Trust is helping multi-generation farms to continue to thrive as well as helping young farmers to get into the business of farming. This process of preserving valuable farmland from being developed is not only keeping the agricultural culture of Maine alive, it is also providing healthy, often organic, locally grown foods for Maine people.
