Much of this work hasto be done and four stands areprovided, three of Ford-Smithmake and the other by the PerfectMachinery Co. No one type ofwheel is used, several makes beingused as occasion requires. Wood milling cutters for shaperspindles are made of cruciblesteel, the stock being sawn tolength, turned, bored, and McDonald lathe, 16 in. swingis used for the relieving of all cut-ters. A special relieving attach-ment permits the relieving of cut-ters of from 2 to 30 teeth, if de-sired. The slots in milling cuttersire drilled out and the slots in theftempsmith miller.
