Mrs. West was alsoan educator who taught for many was such a sweet lovable and Mrs. West were blessed with one child, a daughter, Mrs. JaneGambilE who is a nurse at Wilkes General Hospital. We thank God for the positive influence of brother West over theyears. Rev. Caldwell was born August31, 1906. He was married to StellaHalsey in 1924. They were blessed with4 children. 3 boys and 1 girl. He beganhis ministry in 1928. During the years of his ministry heserved 34 churches. He served MountPleasant Church in Wilkes County,Pleasant Grove, Grubbs Chapel, PineBranch, and Galax in Virginia. He alsoserved churches in Lenior in CaldwellCounty and churches in the SandhillsAssociation. Here in Ashe County he servedHealing Springs, Wagoner, ChestnutHill, New River and Landmark. Brother Caldwell posesses a great zeal for souls. At 84 he still has aconsuming desire to see people come to know the Lord. Only heavenknows the vast number he has led to Christ.
